I grew up on a buffalo ranch here in northern Colorado, a place my family built from the ground up. When the 2008 financial crisis hit, the price of feed skyrocketed while buffalo prices collapsed. Banks and wealthy investors protected their own, leaving hardworking families like mine behind. We lost the ranch that had been our home and livelihood.
That experience taught me an early lesson: the system often favors the powerful at the expense of those who actually make our communities thrive. I have carried that lesson through my education, attending St. Vrain Valley schools and studying Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University, and through my work as vice chair of the Boulder County Democratic Party. I have seen firsthand how leadership, vision, and community engagement can create real change.
I am running for Colorado House District 19 because I love my state, and I want every Coloradan to have the opportunity to start a family, buy a home, start a business, and pursue their dreams without being held back by the rising cost of living. I will work to expand access to healthcare and childcare, strengthen our public schools, and create a Colorado where people, not powerful corporations, come first. I am ready to be that voice, dedicated to building a state where everyone has a fair shot and a real chance to thrive.
